So now that we’re in the midst of the storm – in the silence, the loss of power brings, it’s amazing how we choose to spend our time.
I’m sitting here writing in my journal by candlelight praying that all will be well. Mother Nature and her fury, playing itself out in the cover of darkness. I am afraid. I am also feeling a little daring in a way. My nervous energy will not allow me to sleep and I cannot imagine why. What do you tell yourself when you’re experiencing the most terrifying time of your life? What do you start praying about? What do you say to yourself about how you’re living your life?
Sometimes you don’t know exactly what you’d say… I know what I did, and that was “If I leave this planet today, what would I regret not doing? All the excuses (reasons) of yesterday have no bearing on what I can do TODAY. I thankfully made it through the storm… now what will I do differently TODAY?
I’ve made some bold and very promising decisions about how I intend to live starting now… I don’t need to weather another Hurricane Sandy to know that NOW is the RIGHT TIME to start answering those questions… starting TODAY.
